Question

No gestational sac at 4 weeks 5 days?

I'm at a loss. I have been bleeding off and on (mostly brown) since last Friday so I went to the doctor because I bought a FRER and it came back super positive. Well based on my LMP I should have been around 6 weeks; I told them I don't believe I'm that far along as my periods are usually 35/37 days long. So we proceed with a vaginal u/s and did not see a gestational sac. Endometrium was really thick and the Corpus luteum was nice and big too. She double checked the tubes but made the comment ectopics can't always be seen on the u/s

We are waiting for initial beta to come back. I was hoping I would know by Friday but they closed at lunch time.

Anyone else had this happen and have a normal pregnancy ?

Same thing happened to me August 2015 on and off spotting with no sac and it was an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube that could not be seen on a scan :( hcg levels went up but did not double.

I had a similar thing happen. I was about the same number of weeks as you. I started bleeding, went to hospital and no gestational sac. I'd miscarried which I was thankful for in a way as ectopic pregnancy was my worst nightmare. It's been 2 cycles and we're trying again now as I didn't ovulate the first month after. If it turns out that way I'm so sorry. It hurts. Sending you luck and hugs xxx
