Bleeding then clear for 3 days, spotting again. Started 1 1/2 weeks before period. What is going on?

Thought I had implantation bleeding, just a little when I wiped, 12 days before expected period. The next morning I had heavier bleeding bright to dark red that lasted 2 days. Had spotting again last night (3 days after bleeding had stopped). Period isn't due for 5 more days. What is going on? Took a couple tests and both were negative, but it was still early to be taking them. I have had 2 kiddos and this is new. Hoping someone here has experienced something similar. Stomach feels bloated and the thought of some foods makes me nauseous. Normally sore boobs is my first symptom, but they feel normal. So confused!
