Question

When should I stop taking vitex?

I've been taking vitex to regulate my cycle and I've ovulated on CD17 and still been taking it upto 9dpo...could vitex help with implantation or could this have a negative effect on the implementation?

the studies say that what vitex does it increases your progesterone, which is good for implantation, i'd say take it up to 10 weeks into pregnancy

I would say stop after a positive bfp and ask your md to check your progesterone levels

I took a high dose every day of my cycle when we were trying for #1. I conceived in the 3rd month of taking it and that was the first month I'd ovulated on day 14 instead of day 20 - I stopped as soon as I got my bfp because I figured I didn't need it any more :-)

You can take it up until your 3rd month of pregnancy. The only reason they tell you to stop then is because it can cause early lactation.
