When should I take a pregnancy test?

I had the mirena taken out on 11/21 and had some spotting/cramps on 11/24. Since then I have experienced off and on heartburn/nausea. I didn't have any AF on the mirena for 1 1/2 years. How soon do you think that I can take a positive pregnancy test? I don't want to be disappointed if it is a false negative.

if you only took it out on 11/21 that's the earliest your cycle could get started, so on 12/17
