Breakthrough Bleeding or Period? Desperate for answers!!
Hey ladies!
To start off... I've been pretty regular with my periods. They are always heavy and lots of clots (gross and tmi lol) but I have ALWAYS needed to use heavy duty tampons or pads. My husband and I are actively TTC and I ovulated around November 19th. We had intercourse on the 16th,17th,20th and 21st. I don't chart temps or do opks but I have followed my CM and CP.
Bottom line here is that I am not due to start AF until the 3rd and I woke up at 4 AM with VERY slight brown discharge... As of now... 12hrs later, Im still not having my typical flow that I ALWAYS have with AF. I am bleeding slightly and it ranges from very light pink to red but I don't have my typical cramps and acne that I suffer from when AF makes her appearance. I've read up on breakthrough bleeding and Im curious to know how many of you had the same thing happened but still had BFP? According to the online calculators I should have implanted yesterday and my average cycle is 31 days.

The brown suggest older blood. I do not like the sound of bright read blood,but if it is a small amount I wouldnt be concerned. It does sound more like implantation than breakthrough bleeding. Normally breakthrough bleeding only occurs if you are having hormonal issues. Good luck and baby dust...Update if possible

@3boyzmomma thank you for your answer.. I haven't had this before. The "bright" red has subsided and its more of A salmon pink... The red was only there for maybe an hour at most. I only see the blood when I wipe when normally when my period starts I can feel the flow if I am up moving around or if I cough or something but I downy even feel it. I don't see clots either... It looks more like a snotty nose with blood tinged in it. Gosh, I really hope this is it. Thanks for the baby dust! Maybe that will help! Hehehe :) ill keep updating as I can.

Just a quick update.
Last night the bleeding did get slightly heavier but still not like my normal heavy where Im changing my pad every hour or so. Im still not having clots or cramping which is something that I ALWAYS experience when its AF. I woke up and its calmed down quite a bit and still barely anything on pad. I am super exhausted and now my breasts are starting to feel tender which the only other time I felt them ache was when I was pregnant with my youngest son. I took a test which I know is still a little early and it was negative. Im still going to remain hopeful.
