Question

Will clomid delay ovulation?

I'm currently on my first round of clomid. I have been ovulating on my own, anywhere from dpo 10-14. My OB wants to try the clomid to see if it will help with the timing. Should I plan to BD during my normal fertile window or will clomid slow things down? I don't want to miss our chance, but I also don't want to burn out hubby with trying too soon. I won't have my ultrasound until dpo12, which might be too late if my body sticks to the normal patterns.

Any advice?

Do you have access to OPKs. That's been the most helpful tool I've used TTC by far.

I do use OPKs but I read that Clomid tends to give false positives so they aren't exactly reliable. Now Im not sure I can trust what the OPK says. ????

for me OPKs worked with Clomid.

My doctor did say it is normal to ovulate late. OPKs will only give false positives while taking the pills because the test picks up estrogen. If you start them a few days after your last clomid pill it should result accurate. GL
