Spotting with low BBT Question

I have been trying to conceive for 14 months and this month I started spotting five days ago, which began on the 17th day of my cycle. No increase or decrease of brown (occasionally mixed with white semi chunky discharge) for five days. My BBT has been low the entire time. I have no cramps or bloat but swollen and soar breasts. I am on day 22 of my cycle, which usually has quite high BBT, and I NEVER spot before my period let alone for five days. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be?? Is it even possible to have conceived with such low BBT?
