5 or 6 DPO.... told impossible to have a positive pregnancy test without it being ectopic pregnancy?
I am 6 days past the beginning of my LH surge and have a very faint line on 10 mui pregnancy tests. I read some other posts that said it is impossible to have a positive this early unless it is an ectopic pregnancy. I chart each month and use LH sticks each day along with a fertility monitor that measures estrogen and LH. Both told me I had an LH surge from November 10 to 11. This afternoon (November 16) I got the faint positive preg test. Is it true that if the test is really positive that I most likely have an ectopic pregnancy? I'm starting to think it's better to just stay off the internet because it just make me worry.

No that is not true. Actually with e/pregnancies hcg is usually lower. A molar pregnancy or a multiple pregnancy could potentially have higher hcg levels, but molar preg. is rare...don't stress yourself out. You could have had a speedy implantation, or your days could be off...it happens. Rejoice in your BFP and leave the worrying elsewhere. Good luck

There is literally no way you could get a positive pregnancy test on 5DPO. Implantation typically happens between 8-10DPO and you won't get a positive pregnancy test till after implantation happens. The earliest you can except a positive pregnancy test is 8DPO and that's assuming you were one of the few people who had implantation happen earlier around 6-7DPO.

I just want to update in case anyone else is told this. I AM pregnant. Now 11DPO and got numerous clear positives with 4 different brands this morning. It took until 10DPO for the line to get darker, but now it's clear. Not sure what happened, maybe implantation causes a temp HCG surge, maybe it's twins and maybe one egg stuck and the other didn't. But rest assured it's possible to get a positive at 6DPO and turn out to be preg. I didn't mess up my dates, in fact I only had sex one time in the month so I know they're right! I'll update if it turns out to be ectopic or twins but for now I'm assuming the best :)
