Miscarriage Progesterone help
Please any advice, I have recently had a miscarriage two weeks ago at 5 weeks pregnant, they did a blood test at the time and confirmed my progesterone levels were 2.6. My cycles are very irregular 37_59 days we have also been trying for 14 months. I have spoken to my doctor today who advised they won't give progesterone medication until I have 3 miscarriages. For me this is devastating. Please any advice.

I'm no MD, but my doc is always super quick to prescribe progesterone for me. Can you get a second opinion/ new doctor? You are paying your medical bills so I believe you should have more say in your medical treatment than be forced to be put through 3 miscarriages. This is making me feel angry for you.

Thank you for replying, I would go to another doctor but on the nhs they won't help you unless you meet there requirements. Which for me is devastating. It makes you feel so helpless over your own body. We will have to buy the medication extra. Thank you for your reply

Did they test your progesterone before you started miscarrying or during? If during or after, then that would make sense why your progesterone was low because it was dropping. My doctor said most miscarriages are due to issues with chromosomes versus low progesterone which is why he probably isn't eager to prescribe the progesterone for you. Good luck though and sorry for your loss. I've had two chemicals, and it stinks.
