Blood test for ovulation

Ok ladies need your help? I had blood taken on day 21 which came back that I ovulated, see my question is, my cylcle are normally 35 days long and when' checked my blood was taken to early as I ovulate on Cd 21 so I'm confused that I ovulated so early,as my blood should of been taken on day 28, so I would like to know do
I class my self as being late or wait till I'm ment to come on to test?
