miscarriage at around 5wks, positive test now Help?

ok i was seen saturday 8/6 at the er my hcg was 37, monday 8/8 it was 26..starting monday 8/8 i had very light spotting after my dr visit where she told me i was going to miscarry...ok so tuesday thru friday i had what i would consider less than a normal cycle worth of bleeding normally I'm 4 days with the use of maybe 5 super tampons and 1 or 2 reg...i didn't even bleed enough to really get on a pad, but i would see blood and tiny tiny clots when i would pee and wipe no cramps or anything else..today 8/14 i purchased my ovulation sticks and a few preg test to have on hand, i used one of each at which i got a fainter ovulation, but i got a positive pregnancy test...if my levels were so low and had dropped so much from last saturday to monday wouldn't they have reached 0 by now and not even showed on a test???????? Im so lost i don't know what to do..im changing drs bc of how i was treated on monday and i just need advice please...is this left over hormone or could i still be pregnant?

I'm so sorry you went through that :(. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks back in June. My HCG on June 15th was only 37. On Jun 20th I ended up in the ER due to heavy bleeding and extreme pain. The doctors were worried about an ectopic which is why they sent me to the ER. My blood HCG came back at less than 5 at that time but they told me specifically that it takes longer to leave urine. I didn't test after the miscarriage was confirmed as I thought it would be too hard to see the lines. The doctor told me it could take 2-3 days for the HCG to leave my urine so if yours was 25 I could see it taking about a week or so to leave urine following that timeline??? The doctor also told me to not use tampons under any circumstance due to increased chance of infection. Maybe you could ask for another blood test? Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you get a sticky bfp next time.
