If it makes you feel any better it can take a normal, healthy couple without any fertility issues up to a year to get pregnant. And that's totally normal and fine. Depending on which study you go by you only have about a 20-30% chance each cycle that you have well timed intercourse where you have sex on at least one of the 3 most fertile days (the two days before ovulation and the day of ovulation).

If you're not already I'd suggest temping, charting and using OPKs. That way you at least know if you're ovulating and if you're getting good timing. If you're ovulating at a different time than you think you are and you're not having sex every 3 days or so during your whole cycle you could just be missing the most fertile days.

I know that 4 months feels like a really long time. But try to take some comfort in the fact that as far as TTC goes it isn't really that long. You're well within the normal year and have no reason to assume infertility.

Hopefully you'll get your BFP soon!

Some types of birth control take longer to get out of your system than others, and some people take longer to regulate their systems after it does. Personally, I took the depo shot for a few years. After 12 mos of being off the shot I still wasn't ovulating on my own. My doctor even though that I might have PCOS. We tried clomid for a few months. Now, after stopping the clomid (due to a vacation that interrupted the timing) I am ovulating on my own again...about 18 mos after stopping the depo. Just give yourself and your body some time to adjust.
