Implantation Dip Question
So I've been tracking my cycles for a while, but this month is the first one my husband and I have tried to get pregnant. If I ovulated properly, we should have pretty good odds on conception. Just waiting long enough before taking a pregnancy test. My temperature dropped by 0.5 yesterday, and went back up today. I've been reading that some women see a dip like that around implantation... But yesterday would have only been 4 or 5 days post-ovulation. Could it still be implantation dip? Or are we likely out of luck for this month?

Implantation can't happen at 4DPO and it's very, very unlikely to happen on 5DPO. Nearly every case of implantation in studies have been between 7-12 with the most common days for implantation being 8-10DPO. Implantation cannot happen till after zona hatching occurs and zona hatching cannot occur before 5DPO because of the doubling time for cells.
If you're 5DPO the dip *could* be implantation. But it could also be the secondary estrogen surge. Or it could be something random like maybe you had your mouth open a little last night. Or you kicked off the sheets and got a little cool. Who knows.
Hopefully it's a good sign!
