Headline says it all, was just wondering if I could eat homemade birthday cake from a bakery?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to as long as the cake is fully cooked. Obviously if you cut into it and realize there are some places where it is still a bit raw you may want to pass on eating it. But I mean that isn't likely to happen.

I agree with NamelessAria- yes you can as long as its not raw same reason you cannot have raw cookie dough. eggs need to be fully cooked.
