Question

Advice w/o judgement please??

My cycles are 30-31 days in length. My last cycle was June 23rd. I ovulated on I believe July 10th.

I slept with 2 different men(good friends with both so i know them well)
On July 9th at 1 a.m= he pulled out
July 10th at 1a.m.= he didn't pull out.

Being kinda nervous I started testing a week later. I didn't get a positive and it was faint at that until July 20th around noon. So I am just assuming that it couldn't be the guy from the 9th given that he did pull out.

They both know. So I'm not worried but I'd like to give the guy from the 9th a sense of relief but I want to be SURE.

Who has the greater chance of being the dad?

July 9th guy (1 votes)
July 10th guy (4 votes)

This is a really hard question as even though the 9th guy pulled out, it isn't a form of contraception. It really could be either guy. Have you had a clear BFP?
Unless you are trying to get pregnant you should really have form of protection, I am not being judgmental as I have done some silly things in the past too but it's just advice for you to be careful. Good Luck :)

*If* you ovulated on the 9th you could have gotten pregnant even though he pulled out and by July 20th you'd be 11DPO. A BFP on 11DPO is definitely possible. I've gotten a BFP on 10DPO (ovulation day confirmed by OPKs and temping). So if you're pregnant trying to determine which man is the father based off the timing of sex in relationship to the timing of the positive test then I'd say either could be the father.

I would say that unless July 10th guy missed ovulation (like if you already ovulated on the 9th) he is probably a little more likely to be the father just because he didn't pull out. But pregnancy can still happen even if the guy pulls out.

Unfortunately, if you really want to know who the father is you'll just have to wait and do a paternity test when baby is born.

I think you did the right thing letting both guys know. Best of luck to all of you! :)
