Can implantation bleeding be red?

I am 11 DPO and anywhere from 4 - 7 days before my expected period. I have a longer cycle. I had a positive ovulation test and BD 2 days prior, the day of, and the day after. I have cramping in my left ovary area about 4 - 6 days ago so it would be a good time line of implantation occurring today. However, I'm barely spotting and it is red. When my period starts, it's a brown shade almost and it starts within a few hours of spotting. My spotting occured this morning and I had to check my cervix to even notice it. One more tiny spot again since then and that is it.

Anyone have any input or experience on this?
