Spotting after sex 2-3 days before AF?

I have 28 day cycles EVERY month. Yesterday on CD 27 (12dpo) DH and I did the bd. Not to be TMI, but it was rather...vigorous/rough.

After the fact, I had some light pink spotting mixed with EWCM. I assumed that meant AF is on her way just early.

Since then I haven't had a drop of anything. I don't have cramps. I don't have any of my normal PMS symptoms except that my boobs are a little sore.

Wondering if this is just an early preview of AF coming, possible IB, or if maybe he just hit my cervix a little too roughly and that caused the spotting?

Has anyone experience this and gone on to get their BFP?

(I tested at 10dpo and got a BFN but I know it was too early).
