"Conception" dates don't match early us!

I had sex once on sept 22nd. I know sperm can live days after that. But I got a positive test on the 11th of October. I had my early us scan done and according to thay my "conception" date was the 7th of October. I know Sperm don't last that long. So with that being said them saying the max 5 days off on early us scans is different in my case? It would be off by 9+ days. How is that possible no one believes me
