OPK results

Soooo I am using CB digital. I wanted to be able to test even after I got my first smiley, so I kept last month's kit and used 2 tests the last two days using the same FMU. I am so confused. Using the same FMU my old kit keeps saying negative even when the new one reflects a flashing smiley and then solid smiley today. Is it something with using last month's kit or are these OPK just not accurate.
