Should I take a clearblue digital at 11DPO?
Hi guys,
So I took a Walgreens brand e.p.t both last night (at 10DPO) and this morning with FMU at 11DPO. Both came out with super faint lines. They were so faint almost shadowy that I had to take the tests apart to see them. And they showed up within the 5 min mark. I'm kind of freaking out right now and don't want to get my hopes up if I'm not pregnant. I wanted to take a clear blue digital to check but I've heard it might be too early to get a BFP. I'm really new at all this and would love to hear the advice of all you lovely ladies. Thx!!

If you do a digital now I'd recommend the clearblue with weeks estimator (CBWE) or the first response gold digital (FRGD). Otherwise I'd suggest waiting another couple of days.
The reasoning for this is that digitals are typically less sensitive than non-digital pregnancy tests. If you're getting super faint lines on pregnancy tests there is a very real chance you'll get a negative digital pregnancy test. The CBWE and the FRGD are both more sensitive than standard digitals. The CBWE reads positive around 17miu of hCG and the FRGD reads positive at 10miu of hCG. Most digitals don't read postiive till 25mig or even 50miu of hCG.
If you're using a standard Clearblue digital without weeks estimator I'd give it another 2 days or so. hCG doubles every 48 hours so if you have, for example, around 20 now in 2 days you'll have 40ish. That gives you much better odds of getting a positive digital.
Hope that helps. :) And congratulations on the positive tests!

Darn! I was looking at those ones in the store and I ended up getting the regular digital one not the week estimator. I'm just super nervous to see a "not pregnant" come up. I've read a lot about ept type tests giving false positives, so when I saw the faint lines I tried not to get too excited.

Yes you can take it at 11dpo I got my 1-2 weeks at 11dpo with my daughter TTC her 3 years it took till 15dpo to show positve. I'm a registered nurse 12 years and every pregnancy even in the same women can differ depending how fast your bhcg is rising. I also found that CB digital became positve both times for me b4 the first response digital. You can try if it's negative then wait 2 more days gl congrats
