Stupid question but can you paint finger/toe nails when pregnant?

Heading Says it all really, I've read that the toxins in the nail polish can have an affect on the baby?

I've got 2.5 kids and have painted nails and dyed hair since day one...no issues here. Just make sure ur in a ventilated room and u should be fine.
