Question

Is there hope with one fallopian tube and PCOS?

DH and I have been TTC for over a year. (I had a previous pregnancy when I was younger so I know I CAN get pregnant...or at least I could then).

I was diagnosed first w/PCOS and had to stimulate ovulation with meds. Now I'm ovulating but not getting pregnant.

Had an HSG scan this morning and found out one of my tubes is blocked. (Cause unknown).

I'm just wondering if anyone has overcome similar obstacles? Should we keep trying with just stimulating ovulation? Should we move on to IVF? Should we have the doctor do laprascopy to see the cause and potential for repair of the tube? My dr gave me a choice of all three. Not sure what to do!

You only need one tube to get pregnant! Just might take longer since ovulation switches sides every month, and sometimes it may stay on the same side for a couple months. And the pills could help induce the good side to ovulation more often. I have heard lots of people getting pregnant with 1 working tube. I only have 1 and have other problems and I am still hopeful it will happen soon! Good luck
