Heavy bleeding for two days, anyway this turns out fine?

I was due to start my period 5/14, and had some very light spotting for the following 5 days. Took two pregnancy tests, both were positive. Made a doctors appointment for Thursday, May 19, just to confirm everything.
Woke up that morning to heavy bright red blood and mild cramping. It lasted all day Thursday and Friday, (no cramps Friday) but has lightened up. I haven't passed any clots at all. Had a blood test Thursday that confirmed the pregnancy, but hcg level was only 10.5. I go in Monday for a second one to see if the levels are increasing or not.
But, is it possible to have a heavy bleed like that for a few days and NOT miscarry?
