Question

so confused!!

I had positives on my HPTs, so I had a HCG level drawn and it was 10. They repeated it 1 day later and it was 9.8. If I am pregnant I would be 4 weeks. Any thoughts? My doctor is repeating the lab in 1 week but that's a long time to wait! She said they are ruling out chemical or phantom pregnancy. Any comments would be appreciated!!

In most cases, the hCG should be doubling every 48-72 hours. I'd ask the doctor what to interpret from the fact that it went down slightly by 1 day. Ask why they're waiting so long to repeat it. It seems that 48-72 hours would be the ideal time to check it agian. Good luck!
