Question

Ectopic pregnancy? Help please!!

Last week I took 3 generic blue dye (Walgreens) and 2 frer (the new curved ones) pregnancy tests because I had been super nauseaous for almost 2 weeks. ALL came back very very very faint positives. Even my neighbors saw the second faint line! So Monday afternoon I went to my ob for a blood test and the Tuesday it came back 'normal'. I'm suppose to start my period today but would have normally started spotting 2 days ago, but still no show of any spotting/AF. I do have an increase in white creamy CM. This morning I have been having pain in my right ovary and it started radiating to my right hip then later to my right butt cheek. It is pretty painful and I'm thinking about taking a Tylenol to ease the pain up a little. But now I'm scared to death I could have an ectopic pregnancy! Since the faint bfp in the pg tests then a normal blood test at the Dr office. Could this be what's happening or should I just wait a few days to see if AF shows? I don't know what to do/think!! Help!

If you suspect you're having an ectopic you need to see your doctor. If an ectopic goes untreated it can be dangerous. I know ladies who have lost a fallopian tube because it ruptured during an ectopic.

If your blood test came back with hCG levels consistent with not being pregnant that is fairly definitive. However, because of how dangerous ectopics can be I would say it is worth investigating further. Sure maybe you're not pregnant and you have a cyst on your ovary that is causing pain or something of that nature. But at least you'll know and you'll have some peace of mind. And if it is an ectopic you'll be glad you went back to have it checked out.

Wishing you all the best!

I agree with namelessaria, if your blood test came back as not pregnant, it is fairly definitive. I had an ectopic 3 years ago, it was confirmed during an early ultrasound(previous miscarriage) I was 7 weeks pregnant. I had no symptoms of an ectopic, no pain etc. Infact the only symptom I had was that I just didn't "feel pregnant" with you saying that your af is due to start today i would be surprised if you were having pain symptoms this early on but as with any suspected pregnancy and pain it is best to get checked out though at this gestation I would guess they would only do bloods as any pregnancy even an ectopic would not show on an ultrasound at this point. I think it would be worth getting your bloods done again.
