Your period can't "usually come early." That just means that calendar method tracking isn't good for you because you don't O on CD14 and/or you don't have a 14 day luteal phase, which are the assumptions of apps that tell you that you'll O on CD14 and have your period 14 days later. If you want to know what is going on with your cycle you may want to switch to temping since then you'll know when you ovulate and how long your luteal phase is. With that information you should be able to reliably predict when you'll get your period so you're not constantly being surprised by "early" periods.

As to your question: my CM is usually thick and creamy from the day after ovulation till a day or so before my period. The day before, or the day of, my period my CM usually starts to seem more like a mix of watery CM and creamy CM and I'll usually start spotting shortly after.

If you've been TTC for 3 years without luck you should see an RE. Hopefully you get your BFP soon.
