Breastfeeding, ttc but no af
I'm breastfeeding ny 17,5 month old son and hvnt had af in a Lil over a year. DH and I wanna start trying for #2 but I wanted to have 1 normal cycle 1St. I started taking vitex a month th ago but it still hsnt brot on af, last time it worked in a month.
What else can I do to kick start my cycle. I will be weaning my son wen he turns 18 months but I jus wanna get preggie now and this waiting for af is starting to annoy me. I'm even going to see my gp tomorrow just to get her opinion.

If your doctor is competent, she'll tell you to wait until 24 months. That's what the world health organisation recommends. Having babies too close together is not good for you. You need ample time to recover and for your body to replace reserves like iron and calcium. Your body isn't even ready to try again as you don't have normal cycles. Surely this should indicate to you that now isn't the best time!? Patience is a virtue. All the best.
