I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, the scan you had sounds very reassuring, your doctor is right, breastfeeding can play havoc with ovulation timing etc plus you have another factor with your miscarriage, you cannot treat a miscarriage the same a period in regards to when you will next ovulate/get your next period. Some women can even skip the next period, your body was pregnant and doesn't adjust back straight away. I had a miscarriage a few years ago and fell pregnant with seeing another period. I was actually measuring 3 weeks behind going by the miscarriage but it was simply that I had ovulated later due to my body recovering from the miscarriage. It's also worth noting that while sometimes the scans can be spot on they aren't always accurate. Due to my previous miscarriage and previous ectopic I have to have early scans, I had 3 early scans this pregnancy and none of them matched with the gestation that the others gave.

I really feel that the sperm couldn't have lived that long. The last time I remember having sex during what I thought was my window was 3/20. And they said conception was probably 3/29. But I'm feeling at peace today. Everything happens for a reason and I know if it's not meant to be this time, there will be another time. I'm sorry for your losses Debbie. Thank you for your reply!
