Hi where can I find help paying for a d/c after miscarrying?

So last year I had a miscarriage and ended up having a d/c well my insurance doesn't cover anything tht deals with pregnancy! So I now have 12k in medical bills from tht time and I don't qualify for Medicaid or any kind of assistance because our income is to high.. but of course they don't consider alllllll the other bills we have to pay...so I was seeing if n e body had n e ideas on how to come up with or find money to pay these medical bills plzz and thnk u

you could see if there is a charity based payment plan through your Dr's office/hospital/etc.

Sorry for your loss. Hospitals have a financial assistance department that based on your income they will decide what amount of the bill will be your responsibility. Good luck!

If you're trying to get pregnant, you need to change insurances or get a plan that covers pregnancy. If you think a D&C is expensive, just wait until you've got delivery fees, anesthesiology fees, ALL the radiology fees with ultrasounds, lab and various testing fees, not to mention doctor visits and hospital stays. You would be hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Just my advice as a nurse.
