Unfortunately it's totally a wait n see thing...frustrating, I know! Being that it's spotting, that's def a better thing than straight up bleeding. That being said, it can go either way with spotting or bleeding BUT it isn't necessarily a written in stone mc.
I had a loss at 7wks (officially, it was gone before this tho I'm sure). My spotting started at 18dpo and advanced to a light bleed (still using a liner) days later. It continued between brown and red spotting/lt flow for almost 3wks, then it was like a massive hemmorhage. Obvs not a positive outcome.
Fastfwd 6 months, pregnant again. All was well til the spotting started just before 9wks. By this point I was already listening to baby for a week on my doppler so I was able to check on him several times a day. 10w1d I was in the shower shaving when I started pouring blood. Bright red, looks like someone turned on a faucet, pouring out, blood. Not a single cramp or sign to indicate what was about to happen.

Cont'd. I won't get into the heavy details, I have a journal entry on cdmp with all the details etc. Anyways, I went to the ER immediately becuz there was just sooooooo much blood that I couldn't control it. I did dopple the baby and he was still puttin' around in there, seemingly unaffected. ER did an u/s and found a large SCH (subchorionic hemmorhage). At that point in time it wasn't affecting the baby in any way. His growth was 5 days ahead and heartrate was 174. The bleed did lighten up somewhat but was there until 13w5d and hasn't returned (9 days and counting =)) )
Try to stay positive, I know it's hard to wrap ur mind around being pregnant and seeing blood of any type...but it doesn't always have to mean something bad will happen. Keep the stress levels down as much as possible. Ull have ur answer on Thurs.
Everything is crossed for u and baby! Please update! =))
