With my first child I had the same thing, I didn't know I was pregnant but had brown/red blood around the time AF was due, he's turning 21 this June! :)

Same with me. I got a BFP on Mar 10. and then before and after march 10, I had very bad cramping. I think its normal to feel cramping as the uterus adjusts for future. Be sure to call the doc any way.

The brown spotting could be Implantation bleeding. I got that for my first pregnancy. Not this time though.

Thanks for your replies and support. The spotting has stopped (knock on wood) and the doc examined me this evening. He didn't see any sign of spotting or bleeding but I have to take Utrogestan until week 12 to prevent bleeding or spotting in the future.
