Question

Any hope or destined for m/c??????

I am currently 5.5 weeks pregnant. Last friday I went to ER for some faint pinkish discharge. Sono showed a nice round gest sac in uterus that mesured well for my dates and hcg was 4000. ( hcg before that was 1780 10 days earlier) Went to my OB/GYN this week and he seemed to think my levels were not a good sign of a viable pregnancy. Took more bloods and they went to 3600. I have had NO spotting, cramps etc. nurse said it is not a good sign. I have an appt for sono in a few days but I swear I still feel pregnant. Could this have been a vanishing twin? Could I have been dehydrated? (Have read that can effect your HCG as well) OR am I destined to m/c?? Everytime I go to the bathroom, I have a panic attack! Holdinh on to tiny bit of hope until next sono! Anyone have a similar story?

It's such a sensitive situation, but tbh, it really doesn't sound good. Of course u should always hold out some kind of hope, but be realistic about it and brace urself. It's never a good thing when it takes 10 days for levels to dbl and they def shouldn't drop. I suppose it's possible u lost a twin, but even then, the increase was too slow for one, let alone 2. As for pregnancy symptoms, ur gonna have those as long as u have the hormone in ur body. I'm sorry ur going through this but I really would advise u brace urself for what's to come.
Best of luck with everything.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a similar boat and it's just hard and it sucks!
My last MC was in November, my hcg's rose slow, we did see baby and heartbeat but then the next week nothing, and levels started dropping.
I'm sorry to say but it doesn't sound like good news for you, but try to relax and not stress too much.
You do have hcg in your body so it will make you feel pregnant until they start to drop more.
Again, so so sorry. It's not a easy, just know you're not alone.
