Question

False negatives while breastfeeding?

I've read it's possible to get false negatives while breastfeeding, but I've also read that breastfeeding shouldn't affect pregnancy tests at all..
I am currently 9 days late for my period, and am nursing my 10 month old son. I know breastfeeding can affect periods but I've had exactly 35 day cycles since he's been about 10 weeks old. I've taken 3 tests, first two had what looked like ghost lines, the last one (which was A different brand not sure if that would matters) was clearly negative.
Not sure what's going on .. Any other breastfeeding mamas kept getting negatives for a while before hey got their bfp ? TIA :)

Breastfeeding is associated with raised prolactin which does not interfere with hCG and won't have any effect on a pregnancy test. High prolactin levels prevent ovulation so it's more likely that getting pregnant will take a little longer. All the best.
