Spotting every single cycle since coming off BC...

My hubby and I have been TTC since July. We are both pretty healthy and in our early 30s. I was on BC for many years before we decided the time was right, but since coming off BC I spot every cycle from 4 to 9 days before AF is due until AF gets here. We have been unsuccessful in our attempts so far, and I am wondering if this might be the problem. Has anyone else experienced spotting between cycles consistently and gotten a BFP? Or should I talk to my doctor?
