Can you ovulate day 5 of your cycle/period

So this past period was normal about 4 days. Day 5 was kinda spotty. Anyways I've always tracked ovulation w/ opks but usually Starting on day 7 or so.... anyways day 5 of my cycle I felt like I was ovulating (same feeling I usually get) so out of curiosity I peed on a opk & sure enough if was definitely positive! ! Which got me to thinking my 1st children (they were twins) I know I got pregnant the last day of my period because that was the only time that month we had sex. So we have been trying for going on 2 yrs..... possibly we've been trying at the wrong time this whole time??? I need help !! Advice !! Thnx ladies baby dust to all
