How quickly does the sperm enter the cervix?

Crazy question but one that has stuck in my mind for some time now. We all know once the sperm gets through the cervix, it takes hours for the sperm to reach the location of the egg...

My question is, How quickly do the little swimmers get through the cervix? Or is it instant?

For the past 3 months during my fertile period of course, I've been trying the method where I prop my hips up on a pillow after intercourse to keep the sperm inside. I usually stay elevated for 20 minutes. I would imagine that's enough time for the sperm to get through.

Anyway, does anyone know or have advice on preventing the sperm from escaping?

A lady on here once told me "They are fast little suckers" How many women get preggo everyday without laying down for 20 minutes or propping hips! Believe me, after 2 1/2 years, I've done it all! I stressed myself out to the max about how much stuff was leaking out and that's why I couldn't get pregnant. A great friend on here now told me that everything that leaked out was just ejaculate and your own body fluid and left over and dead sperm that couldn't make the cut. I try to remind myself everyday that I can't make trying to have a baby into a science. Just love your honey, have frequent sex, and if you can stay in bed for an extra few minutes great, and if you cant, known that his swimmers swim fast.... :-) GOODNESS LUCK!
