So sorry for your loss. I can relate as I moscarried 2 1/2 years ago at three months. I had contractions every five minutes or so for the duration of the cycle. I went to urgent care and they gave me vicoden to take. I paired that with best rest and a heating pad. I kept at it until the miscarriage cycle ended. Mine took 2-3 weeks. I believe my cycle started back up in a month and my obgyn told me I could start trying again as soon as I was emotionally ready. Please feel free to message me. I know how many questions I had. Im so sorry for your loss.. I had a miscarriage @ 6 wks and 3 days aswell I was spotting for 1 week and a half until i miscarried then i was bleeding for a couple of days maybe a week I am currently waiting for my next period its been 5 weeks already and nothing yet.. I still dont get over my loss everytime i remember it breaks my heart knowing that my dh and i tried so hard to concieve our first child but i have faith in god and his timing... dont give up or loose faith

It really depends on how developed the baby got. If you just had a blighted ovum, empty sac with no baby, then it will probably be just like a regular period and may not affect your next cycle at all. If the baby developed and had a heartbeat you may be in for a rougher road. I had 2 losses at the 5 week mark that were just like a slightly heavier period. I also had a loss at the 6 week mark that started with spotting for a couple days and then I had very painful contraction like cramping that came every couple minutes over 3-4 hours to pass all the tissue and large clots. I was popping pain killers like candy and I don't take them very often. Even with a loss around 6 weeks your next cycle may be on time but could be delayed. Physically the pain doesn't last very long and you can get right back to trying again but I found the emotional hurdles tougher to get over before trying again.
