Question

Pregnancy Test Line Progression

Hi All
I am currently 6 Weeks 4 days pregnant and being in the UK, I don't get blood work levels and have to wait to see a mid wife at 8-10 weeks before the 12 week scan - it is all so slow. My question is that at this stage should my tests be super dark still? All my tests were very dark until a couple of days ago - they are still dark, but definitely lighter than before. I am hoping this is normal. I haven't had any bleeding or severe cramping and my doctor wont refer me to the early detection unit unless I have bleeding. I have all the usual symptoms, like sore breasts and nipples and nauseous, I am definitely pregnant, but after a mc 2 months ago I am just hoping this one sticks and paranoid that if the test is lighter then I am eventually going to bleed and lose this one. Any Advice appreciated. Thanks

it is difficult to tell but from a certain level of hcg the tests lose sensitivity; try diluting your urine by half or so and see if the tests are then lighter or darker (most women test negative at 10 weeks as they have too much hcg and the tests get confused)
