Just because it hurt once doesn't necessarily mean it will hurt again. I went through 6 transfers performed by 4 different doctors at my clinic. Some doctors were more skilled than others. Sometimes it was uncomfortable and sometimes I barely felt a thing. Try not to tense up as that will make it harder. If you get super tense or anxious you can ask your doctor if they can prescribe a Valium for you to take before so you can relax. It also depends on how your cervix is positioned the day of transfer which you have no control over. Perhaps the first time your cervix was tilted or hard to get to but maybe this time it will be easier. You can also take some Tylenol an hour before to take the edge off. Wishing you some strong sticky embryos!
