Question

BBT and ovulation

I can't remember does the temperature have to be higher by the previous four days to confirm ovulation?

It's the temperature spike after our ovulation day that confirms it. So you can get positive OPK which signals LH surge but doesn't confirm that the egg actually dropped whereas the temp spike after your positive OPK will be a combination for successful ovulation!

The standard rule for temps is "3 over 6." So you want 3 temps that are .2 or more over the highest of your last 6 temps. So if your temps were, for example, 97.1, 97.1, 97.1, 97.3, 97.1 96.85 then you'd need your next 3 to be 97.5 or higher.

Hope that helps!
