Question

What DPO would a digital pick up HCG?

I'm currently 9dpo 6 days before my period starts I tested with a first response and I got an extremely faint line and then bought a digital first response and it said no, would that mean I'm out or?

FRER is capable of picking up as little as 6 mIU/ml, but most digitals pick up around 50 mIU/ml.

So, to answer your question, you are probably NOT out just because a digi said no. Digis are just not as sensitive as most other tests. To answer your other question, there's no specific DPO that a digi would pick up HCG because no one implants at the same exact time, nor does everyone's HCG double at the same rate.

Hope this helps!

The digital first responses are about 50mIU/ml and in my opinion, they suck. The Clear Blue Digitals are about 25mIU/ml and I know when I miscarried they picked up at way less than that (low teens).

Your definitely not out yet. Most common time for babies to implant is 9DPO and it generally takes over 48 for HCG to get to a detectable level in the urine for a HPT to be positive. The clearblue digital can pick up HCG at 25mIU/ml. Good luck :-)

I just got a + digital yesterday and another today. I am 11 or 12 dpo today. My fre had a faint line yesterday and a darker bfp today. I have read that most digital pick up around 50.

When a pregnancy test picks up hCG has very little to do with DPO. Implantation normally occurs from 7-12DPO and hCG has a doubling time of approximately 24-72 hours with 48 being average. Normal hCG levels of women who aren't pregnant are 1-5. So a woman who implanted on day 7, with a starting hCG of 5 and 24 hour doubling would get a positive test way sooner than a lady who had implantation happen on day 12 with pre-pregnancy hCG of 1 and 72h doubling.

Here is the probability by DPO as compiled from submitted information here on CTP: http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/results-by-day-past-ovulation.php

Here is something similar from FertilityFriend: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/When-can-I-expect-a-positive-HPT-if-I-am-pregnant.html

Hope that helps!
