no i dont think you can, i just think you happened to run your finger along the strip or caused the urine to move up the testing strip faster than it would normally absorb. if the strip picks up hcg in the urine then only that can cause the line to appear even if you did press down on it. you can create dents in the testing window creating 'shadows' where the line might appear depending on the type of hpt you have but you cant influence the dye. hope this answers your question

That sounds like an implantation bleed and your test looks positive to me ! the world and his wife say you can't get a positive before implantation but I DID I had a faint but clear bfp 4 dpo then all tests were bfn for 4/5 days then I got a bfp on 10 dpo which has got darker by the day and clear blue said pregnant 2-3 weeks today
I bet your test picked up the tiny bit of hcg (I know) is released at conception I bet u get a bfp in about 3/4 days

Your test looks positive to me definitely not a 'shadow', congrats :-) next thing to do now is go and get it two more hpts to confirm and go to get it confirmed with a blood serum.

So I know it was prob too early, but I just got a urine test done at doc and it was negative :( But it may still be too early, so they took blood... We shall see!!! I hope that's not too early either though, because I just had sex 6 days ago!

The blood test was negative too :(... I probably tested wayyy too early... I knew I was, I need to be more patient. If AF doesn't come, then the doc said we'll retest in 2 to 3 days. AF is supposed to come tomorrow, but I had that weird brown spotting which I think was IB, but I don't know yet. I'll keep y'all updated!
