Can ovulation test be used as pregnancy test?

I'm 2 weeks late.negative test.but today decided to used an ovulation test.within a minute it came dark positive? I'm confused cause how can I ovulate when I miss my period? Can I be pregnant but hpt is too low to get a positive pregnancy test???

Not likely because ovulation tests aren't the most sensitive pregnancy tests. Maybe you didn't ovulate last cycle or something, just a thought. Take another pregnant test if you're not convinced. Good luck.
