Getting a HSG done to increase your chances?
I had a HSG last year which confirmed that both of my Fallopian tubes are open. Since I heard of women who conceived the months following the procedure I am considering another HSG now - not for diagnostic reasons but solely to increase my chances for conception. What do you think?

I had mine done in May 2013 but didn't conceive til Oct that year, so altho it didn't immediately benefit me, I'm sure it did help if even just a bit. Any little bit of tube snot u can flush out is gonna make it that much easier for sperm and egg to make it to their destination. Not to mention that even tho everything was clear last time, it doesn't mean something hasn't possibly started to slow things down since. I say go for it if u have the opportunity/funds to do so. Every little bit helps!! =))

I was shocked when the head of the obygn dept of my local hospital instructed me to go home and get busy after my HSG- she said most of her patients get pregnant after this test so now is your time. I went home and researched this idea and like you said many women claim it helps them get pregnant. So we will see, I am due to ovulate soon. For some reason I do feel better/healthier after having the test. Maybe its just my nerves calming, or maybe it because my uterus got a nice "cleaning." Dr, said I had some old blood but my tubes were clear. Maybe now the egg can attach with out interference of old blood? I support your idea of having it done.
