Question

Abdominal muscle aching?

I know this site is for getting pregnant but I'm a little confused just wondered if anyone knows. I'm nearly 5 weeks pregnant and I'm having an aching pain in my stomach muscles. It feels like I've just done a load of sit ups. Does anyone know what this could be?

That's possibly due to your muscles stretching to accommodate for the growing belly/baby

That would make sense just didn't expect it this early :)

I'm five weeks today and also feeling similar pains. They are especially bad when I try to roll over in bed or stand too quickly. I didn't expect round ligament pain this early, but it's what it feels like to me.

It's perfectly normal to cramp throughout your first trimester if you're pregnant. As long as the cramps aren't worse than your normal menstrual cramps and are not accompanied by spotting/bleeding, it's most likely perfectly normal. As your ligaments loosen and your uterus grows you can expect to have a certain about of crampy discomfort.

Also, congratulations on your positive test! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months. You probably want to move over to the sister site countdownMYpregnancy.com now.
