Question

When can you ttc after miscarriage?

Spontaneous miscarriage at completed 5 week marker. It's been five days since bleeding started. Is that considered my new cycle and most importantly, when can we ttc again? I read you can be very fertile after miscarriage and don't want to miss that window, but I also don't want to hurt myself. All advice welcome. First miscarriage

I had a MC at 5W5D, bled for a week and we started trying again right away, I got a positive opk on CD 26 and got pregnant on that very first cucle. You can count day 1 of bleeding as CD1 but it could take longer to O because you won't O until all the HCG is out of your body

I had a miscarriage in April, so my husband and I waited until I got a regular period (happened in May for me, so we didn't have to wait long) and tried again. Got pregnant again in June, and everything's progressing well. The female body does seem to be extremely fertile after miscarriage, so I understand wanting to try again. I'd wait one cycle to make sure everything is working well, but speak to your ob. Since you were so early in the pregnancy, they might say you can try right away. Best of luck to you and fingers crossed for a Christmas bfp :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. :( I just miscarried on the 7th at 6w4d so I know how incredibly heartbreaking it is.

I was told to chart the first day of actual bleeding during the miscarriage as the first day of my menstrual cycle. And then continue counting all the days of bleeding as days for my period.

Every doctor seems to have a different way of doing things when it comes to advice on when you can try again. My doctor told me that as soon as I stopped bleeding I'd be good to have sex if I wanted. She also said that my husband and I could start trying again whenever we felt ready. She mentioned that if I were to become pregnant again before having my first actual cycle post miscarriage that dating the pregnancy would be slightly more complicated but assured me that if I really wanted to start trying right away that was fine.

Just be sure that you get a negative pregnancy test at some point so you know any later positives are real.
