FFN test POSITIVE !!
I had a postive on my FFN at 31 weeks ): I was wondering if there's any advice on this ... I've been having slight cramping like menstrual cramps here and there and I honestly just thought I was having Braxton hicks . Only reason I went in to the hospital is because they got so aggravating and I wanted to know what was going on ! I got a urine test and it came back that I was dehydrated . They then proceeded to give me a check down there and swab me for different things they then swabbed me the last time for a FFN test and checked my cervix . This was on the 31 (yesterday) I also had another Pap smear on Thursday (the 29th) . I'm not dilated which is good I was really worried . On the screen it was showing I was having contractions 1-2 minutes apart that I was not feeling half of the time here and there id feel a slight cramp . Could this FFN test be false postive at all ??? Or could the contractions be caused by dehydration they did not give me a shot to stop them I'm asking today !

Fetal fibronectin "leaks" into the vagina if a preterm delivery is likely to occur and can be measured in a screening test.[1]
When the fFN test is positive, it is an inconclusive result. A positive result can indicate that a woman will go into preterm labor soon, but she may not go into labor for weeks.
I found this on google I hope it helps, as your 31 weeks now you may have baby around 37 weeks? I would ask them to test again to be sure xx
