Question

How Early?

So I'm wondering how early can a woman get pregnancy symptoms? I've had a few times I thought I could be pregnant, but didn't have symptoms and then got my period. So I got to where I didn't think I was right away. But about 3-4 days after the last time I'd had unprotected sex I started to slowly show symptoms. First it was harder for me to walk upstairs without having to sit down and breathe for a few minutes. Then I started to get food altercations such as drinks that were once my favorite just didn't taste good all of a sudden. Then I started feeling exhausted (fatigue) all day and ever since I've had that. Then my breasts felt different. It's been a week now and i still have those and a few others. My period is suppose to be Sunday and I will be taking a test on Monday. But is that still too soon? Or should I wait till next Friday?

It's honestly different for every woman. With me, I didn't feel any major symptoms until after I missed my period. I vividly remember the night I put it together, after the smell of a coworker's perfume made me vomit, and I was never sensitive to smells (I work with animals, kind of need a strong nose lol). By the time I was six weeks along, I had unrelenting all day nasuea that finally went away at 17 weeks.

On the flip side, I've heard of some women getting symptoms right after implantation, as soon as their bodies begin producing the HCG. It's entirely possible you're pregnant. I would test Monday, and then if it's negative, wait a few days and try again. Good luck :)

It would depend on how many days you are past ovulation to determine if it is too early to test or not. If the symptoms you have are because of pregnancy you would be able to take a test. Keep in mind that PMS symptoms are very similar to pregnancy symptoms, so sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate until you get a positive HPT. Good luck!

Sorry, correction. "If the symptoms you have are due to pregnancy you would get a positive test"

You need to tell us dpo that you started to get symptoms. It is impossible to get pregnancy symptoms before implantation (but not impossible to just know you're pregnant). If you are experiencing any signs before implantation they're not pregnancy but more likely progesterone symptoms or PMS. Usually HPT show positive at 22 dpo or later.
