Question

Chemical Pregnancy/Trying Again

Hi, I had a chemical pregnancy this month and have been advised to wait until after my next period to start trying again so it is easier to date the pregnancy, but today I got a blazing positive OPK on what would be my CD16 of this months cycle. would it be a bad idea to try now or should I really wait for my period and then try that cycle, and I've been told I should get my period in 4-6 weeks. Which puts us another month behind which is fine as there is no rush, but if my hormones are showing a massive LH surge I would like to try, although I know I probably should wait. Just wanted advice on what to do next? Thanks

Do you know why you were told to wait? I'm skeptical... Id say go for it, I see no reason why not. Good luck.

I was only told to wait until I have a normal period before trying again so that it is basically easier to date the pregnancy if I do get pregnant. As they do everything from the last period, so it would essentially mess up the order of things, but this was just what they advised, not because I had miscarried and there would be any complications, the nurse said they advise women to wait, but my next period might not come for up to 6 weeks, but of course I could have a normal period on time and then I could start again anyway I supposed. I mean I am happy wait so will probably do so, which gives my body a break I suppose after what has happened. but it is a little frustrating. I would love to go home tonight and get going with it, but I will see what my hubby thinks as he might feel more comfortable waiting so we don't go through what we just have again :-)

We waited a month. But everything bounced back pretty quickly!
