Question

How concerned should I be?

I just found out that I am pregnant! Finally! We achieved this pregnancy after a round of IVF. I am 27 years old and 5 weeks today. My first beta was 102 on Monday and second beta was 266 on Wednesday. My progesterone was 67. I'm so afraid that I will miscarry or go to my 6 week appointment and there will be no progression. I have tender breasts on and off throughout the day and am getting over a cold. How much should I worry about miscarriage? My IVF nurse assured me that my levels looked really good and I shouldn't concern myself, but I'm so afraid of getting attached to this pregnancy and loosing it.

Don't worry about it, you're not doing yourself any favours by stressing. If some ones going to have a miscarriage any way, nothing can be done about it, and worrying definitely won't help. I would trust the nurse, she knows what she's talking about. Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months.

Your numbers more than doubled and your progesterone level is excellent. I wouldn't stress too much. In a few weeks they'll be able to check for a heartbeat, and once you hear that, the chance goes down significantly. Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months.
